그렇다고 모든 음악을 배척하는 스타일은 아니다.
하지만, 내가 어릴적 부터 정말이지 너무나도 좋아했던 그룹이 있었다.
그 그룹은 Judas Priest!!
이 그룹은 전 앨범을 공들여 사고 항상 새로운 신보가 나올때마다 벅찬 감동으로 들었었다.
하지만, 세월은 어쩔 수 없는지 이들도 '옹' 계열에 들어선지 좀 된듯 하더니 지난번 Scorpions 의 은퇴이후 다시한번 Metal 을 사랑하는 이로써 안타깝지만 올 2011년 투어를 마지막으로 은퇴한다고 한다.

이름도 나름 거창하다. 그들의 2번째 앨범의 Rock Ballard 넘버인 'Epitaph' 의 곡명을 딴 듯하지만 어쩌면 Judas Priest 의 마지막이라는 Judas Priest 의 묘비에 묘비명을 새길만한 Tour를 시작하게 되었다.
비록 이번이 마지막 투어일지는 몰라도 Judas Priest 의 Metal 에 끼친 영향력은 음악사에서도 Epitaph로 새겨질 만큼 대단한 그룹...
그 그룹이 이제 마지막 여운을 남긴채 우리곁을 떠나가려 하고 있다...

Heavy metal legends Judas Priest have revealed that they have no intention of splitting up, despite announcing dates for their 'final' world tour this summer.
"To put everyone's mind at rest, this is by no means the end of the band," said guitarist Glenn Tipton in an official statement. "In fact, we are presently writing new material, but we do intend this to be the last major world tour."
The band are expected to announce more dates for the tour shortly.
메탈갓 쥬다스 프리스트가 이번 여름 'Final' 월드투어를 돈다고 발표를 했었죠. 그러나 밴드측에서는 'Final'이 해체를 의미하는 게 아니라고 말했고, 또 해체할 의도는 전혀 없다고 이야기했습니다.
"팬 여러분들을 위해 이야기하자면 이건 밴드가 해체한다는 이야기가 전혀 아니에요. 사실 우리가 새로운 앨범을 만들고 있다는 거죠. Final이 의미는 이번 월드투어가 마지막 '공식' 월드투어라는 겁니다." 글렌 팁튼이 공식적으로 입장을 밝혔습니다.
현재 쥬다스 프리스트는 이번 월드 투어 외에 추가로 짧은 투어일정을 계획하고 있는 것으로 알려져있습니다.
